The FTR is a cylindrical economizer that can be used with steam boilers, hot water boilers and cold water condensing heat exchangers. It recovers the waste exhaust and heats boiler feedwater, makeup water, process water, hot water return, potable water, or thermal fluids. .
The FTR comes in many standard models that can accommodate any height and diameter specification and help to meet space constraints. This Cain economizer contains internal header manifolds that help provide low liquid side pressure drops.
The FTR is selected over the FTR When there are large volumes of flue gas available and low liquid side pressure drops are needed. It can accommodate for specific engineering requirements such as the spacing of fin tubes in conditions where there is potential for fouling and where low gas pressure drops are required.
Optional stack transitions are available when the FTR is connecting to a combustion source of smaller or larger diameter. A variety of finned tubing heat transfer surfaces are available, including: 316L stainless steel, carbon steel, and the stainless steel tube with aluminum bonded AL-FUSE™.
